OLD TOWN

The OG of Fernandina Beach. Old Town is the original settlement of Fernandina Beach with a rich and colorful story. Old Town remains unchanged since the Spanish platted it in 1811 under the "Laws of Indies" Spanish settlement pattern. This approach called for plazas surrounded by Churches, Meeting Houses, Schools, and homes. The "neighborhood" has 23 blocks and approximately 146 homesites. Old Town is on the National Register of Historic PlacesCabana Lane Thoughts On Old Town Old Town is a terrific option if you want a combination of history, Old Florida architecture, and a true sense of place. There is a real connection with the land with tree-lined streets and front porches where neighbors greet one another. Owners here have a connection that often brings them to the Plaza to watch sunsets. The maritime history is alive and well with dockage, boat servicing, and bait and tackle shops. Local purveyors include Tiger Point Marina, All Power Pro, Ocean Outboard Marine, and Old Town Bait & Tackle. Stay tuned for land options as well as some resales of existing homes.
